Due to an ankle injury Iโ€™m not going to be anywhere fit enough to run the Humber half marathon if run at all by then. So if anyone would like my place send me a PM.
It starts and finishes on cleethorpes sea front and has a nice tech Tee, medal, and ice cream when you finish. Is a lovely course some road and a little trail along the estuary.
Itโ€™s a free place but please only take it if youโ€™re going to do the event.

Thursday intervals!
Due to the high temperatures forecast tomorrow I've decided to make a decision early to cancel my session.
Normal are probably fine as long as you hydrate and take it easy.
As intervals are about pushing yourself that little bit more it's probably the safest thing to do as your welfare is more important.
Hopefully we will be back next week for our final 5 week's.
Enjoy all your runs /jogs /walks and I'll see you next week.

Please like, share and comment if you can for a traffic free route from the old railway line to Chasewater ๐Ÿ˜CANAL STEPS: We have found that to build the steps from the track up to the canal towpath just before the A5, to the standard we would like, will cost a lot more than we initially thought hence we are going to apply for funding. As in the past we need to prove there is a demand so please could you like this post and feel free to share or add comments as we need all the support we can get. These steps are the missing link to a traffic free route all the way from Walsall (Mill Lane) to Chasewater and would open up so many more circuits for leisure purposes. We did it before, we can do it again. ... See MoreSee Less

Good morning everyone.
You don't need me to tell you it's a bit warm!
So what do you do when it comes to running?
1. Hydrate - don't guzzel a gallon of water before you run, you will just vomit.
Hydrate during the day, try hydration tables in your water for added sodium & potassium which you will lose when sweating, take a drink with you even if you don't normally need one & remember to rehydrate after too.
2. Slow down, reduce your pace & distance. Take walking breaks to help reduce the risk of heat exhaustion. Walking is not a failure, walking is a sensible option. Run/walk/run, forward is forward, a mile is a mile.
3. Wear a cap or one of our lovely snugs which are great to stop the sweat stinging your eyes. Try popping it in the fridge before you wear it.
4. If you really can't face running try swimming, consistency in exercise is the key.
5. Wear sun block! A tan looks great, skin cancer doesn't.
6. Look out for each other #CWRF
